I never see anything about these game birds. Does anyone hunt these?

Used to see them on Toledo Bend when we were duck hunting, gallinules that is.Lots of rails up here but never hunted them. Took an immature common gallinule on Toledo Bend in college, it ended up on our lab final for a Forestry class, I was the only one who got that bird right.

I hunt early season rails some years. This year with all the water it would have been a good one if I'd had more time. Like shooting at grasshoppers. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/10/full-1680-255231-dscf2892a.jpg)
