Just get a 45 pistol can and it’ll work on any host you buy in the future and we all know you’ll buy something new in the future. I have a silencer co octane 45K. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I thought it would be quieter. Shooting sub 9mm out of it is not quiet. It’s hearing safe but nothing like I thought it would be. Again idk if other cans are quieter and I’m sure not in the K configuration it might be a little quieter.

Thinking if I ever have to shoot inside the house or truck, save what little hearing I have left,

I love my YHM cans. Not too impressed with my SiCo cans.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I love my YHM cams. Not too impressed with my SiCo cans. I only bought the SiCo on the buy one get one free can thing a couple years ago. I love my YHM 30 phantom and it’s my favorite can I have. If I ever buy another van it’ll be YHM hands down. But I have 2 30 cal cans, 1 45 can, 1 223 can, and 1 rimfire can. Think I’m good, but might get the itch again and it’ll definitely be a YHM.

Great can Thanks CCoker If I go through you to buy: 1. Can you use my fingerprints and photo from Rifle Gear? Are they saved in a "database"? I like the one stop shop. 2. I have 2 suppressors now, When I get this 3rd one, I need to create a trust for all 3, can you do this? Need to make sure the transfer to my daughter when I croak. Thanks Buzz

Thanks Buzz No, that’s only good at Rifle Gear. Their stuff is not connected to the cloud and seems very secure. SilencerShop uses the cloud and can do that stuff through their dealer network. I don’t know their connection or security but it’s a risk regardless.

Great can Can you please give some specific feedback on why you chose that one? Or any feedback on any other pistol suppressors? Thanks!

Well, in short, at the time, like 2 years ago I was ready to buy after having shot quite a few pistol cans.. I asked a few guys at the shop if it was still the best in their opinion and if there was anything coming out they had heard of. I had always been impressed with the Obsidian. I like that it is modular, can be configured shorter/lighter or longer.. Of course longer is going to be a bit quieter but it is nice to have the option dependant on the situation. Has a variety of options for mounting to different guns/platforms There really isn't any appreciable audible difference between running it with the 9mm vs 45 end cap with 9 mm, but the option is there. And can run 300 blackout subsonic Some good info https://www.silencershop.com/blog/post/the-best-45acp-suppressor-choices

A short can will not suppress as effectively as a full-sized can. Consider getting a modular that can be configured in either short or full-size, e.g., Dead Air Wolfman, Rugged Obsidian, and others

will a 9mm can be quieter than a .45 can? On paper yes. My can was fine on Kylies old scorpion and on my XD in 9. The dedicated pistol cans are shorter and more effective than the hybrid I agree. I do not have a piston for a .45cal pistol but based on what I have seen it will not matter.

will a 9mm can be quieter than a .45 can? My SIlencerCo Osprey 45 suppresses better than any 9mm can I've tried so far (AAC Ti-Rant 9, Sig SRD 9) .

You're welcome.
The Os[prey 45 is a bit larger than the Osprey 9, and volume helps reduce report.
