Don’t know why it’s taken me this long to try it, but taking the wife there next Thursday. What’s the best steaks on the menu? I see they have multiple Japanese strands of beef

If I want an expensive meal, I sprinkle diamonds on my food. Makes my dookie twinkle when I flush, too!

Neve made it. Still plan on going, just not sure when. I fully expect N&S to be north of $400 for what I want to order. We ended up at Culpeppers in Rockwall. It was good, I’ve had better for the money, but it was a solid and fun meal.

As far as Bob’s, I’ve only been to the Dallas location, haven’t gone back after the founders split. It was good, Del Friscos is a better meal. I never get anything added to my steak, no idea what an Oscar topping is.

The Mansion on Turtle Creek was also very good, everything there was good, and the price was very reasonable, $250ish for 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 entree, few drinks, and deserts.

Wife and I are foodies, doesn’t matter the cost, we just love to try new foods. When we can make it back to Chicago we are going to eat Alinea for the experience. It’s not cheap, you pay in advance and it’s non refundable, but it’s dinner and a show.

After seeing all of the reviews and folks I know bragging about Bobs on Lemon and how it has the best Filet Mignon around which is my wifes favorite cut of meat.
The wife took me there for my birthday and we both had the Filet Mignon, she had the 9 oz I had the 12 oz and neither one of us were impressed.

We also enjoyed Del Frisco better!

Del Frisco's is my #1, followed closely by Pappas and Silver Fox.

Three Forks, Bob's, N&S, Ruth's Chris and several others good, but not AS good in my opinion. I like a good night out on the town with a good steak, a glass of fine bourbon, and a cigar for dessert!

Absolutely can’t be beat for the money. We enjoy going there on weeknights because you get a ribeye, salad, and a side for like $38. Only issues with them is they are always booked weeks in advance.

I used to go to Bob's on Lemmon until a very good friend of mine bought a gift certificate to Bob's at a charity auction. They wouldn't honor it. Pappa's and Del Frisco's are both excellent.

Been to most of the big ones around Dallas, except for Pappas. Given that we are only 5 miles away from Rick's in McKinney, it is hard to beat for price, quality and convenience for us.

I’m a fan of Rick’s as well. Their filet is on point and the pecan pie will rot a hole in your teeth. It’s been a while since I’ve been, but the live music back in the lounge area used to be great as well. The wife and I have spent many a night on the McKinney Square and always end up at Rick’s up

Pre-Covid, I routinely went to the best restaurants in Dallas and Houston for corporate dinners. One of the best that hasn’t been mentioned yet is Town Hearth. It’s always on point.

4 Winds is probably the best value vs. quality in N. Texas. Atmosphere can't be beat either. When all this 'rona stuff was at its height and everything was take out only they had some amazing deals on take-out. If I remember right it was your choice of filet, ribeye, strip, Redfish (it's good), chicken or shrimp + plus your choice of salad + 2 sides and bread for $25. Filets were about 9oz and ribeye and strips were 12oz...we ate it so much I almost got sick of it.

Another big fan of Rick's here. While Pappas Bros. is our favorite in DFW, Rick's is a close 2nd and the one we usually choose over other steak places if we are staying local to Collin County. We actually prefer it to Bob's, Del Frisco's, Capital Grill, Silver Fox, Perry's, etc.

Rick's Cowboy Ribeye is phenomenal and their desserts and cocktails are great too.
