Old Glory was starting to get a little tattered so I found a replacement on Amazon, asked the wife to order it for me and she said we have an extra one in the garage.
I said yes ma'am but it does not have a Thin Blue Line. Trump yard sign next week it is on order up

Previous picture of the flag pole, then tattered flag, now the replacement.

I am probably get blasted for my opinion but I’m gonna put it out there anyway.

Yeah.... I am not a fan of the blue and the red line flags.

I get it but to me it is just another political statement using the US Flag.
I don’t see it any different than those that make their statements by kneeling.

Those that know me or have read my posts know how much I support the military, fire, police and all first responders. Maybe it is just my having served in peacetime and in wartime under O’l Glory but the US Flag is just something that does not need to be used for any kind of politicization or embellishment to make an opinion known.

The US Flag says it all just the way it is.. flag

P.S.
I also cane stand seeing the University of North Texas, Mean Green, version of the Texas flag. Leave the Texas flag alone also. texas

I tend to agree, I personally wouldn't alter the flag to promote any of my political beliefs.

However, people also have their freedom to express whatever they want, even if its something I wouldn't do personally, so more power to them.

It's funny, I was wondering if I was the only one that found UNT's big green Texas flag to be a little off.

Pegasaurus thanks for your service flag I understand your point! My challenge is that my Flagpole will only hold two flags. In a perfect world I would have 4 flags flying, the American flag, followed by the Texas flag, then the Navy flag (for my son) then I Back the Blue flag. So to support what is most important to me I have those two flags on the pole and a Navy banner on our front patio area,

I agree Pegasaurus, I don't like the politicization of the flag or anthem for that matter. I had forgotten about the UNT battle flag until you reminded me. It has been around awhile.

nope peg, you wont get blasted by me. the thin blue line flag is not a u.s. stars and stripes flag or it's replacement. it's a separate flag of it's own design and color to memorialize slain cops and should be flown as such, below the texas flag

Like I said it is just my opinion.
I know you are doing it for right reasons and not intending any disrespect to the US Flag.
Thank you for being a great American and please pass along my appreciation to your son.
cheers
