So I have a 55 gallon drum hold 300 LBS of corn winch up feeder. 12V System. I feed 5 seconds in the morning on high and 5 seconds in the evening on high also.
My broth says it will last a month to a month and a half. I said three weeks tops. Mind you, I have never gone longer then three weeks to fill them.
There is a bit of corn left, but I don't think it will last 4-6 weeks. Who is right, thoughts?

Try to figure out how much 12v slinging for 5 seconds =. 2lbs maybe x 2 a day. 4 lbs a day, 300 lbs / 4lbs = 75 days

All depends on the setup. 12v or 6v, how much space between the spinner plate and the external funnel, what type of spinner plate, does it have internal and/or external funnel, and how big is the hole. Also, if your timer allows low/med/high spin settings.

That being said, I have a 300lb that I feed for 4 seconds and I get about 6 weeks out of it.

I'm using The Timer (12v) with an eliminator plate that butts up against the external funnel with (I believe) a 2" hole. I have an internal funnel as well.

I just put another one out that is the exact setup. So now I have one feeding morning only and one afternoon only (4 secs) and I'm getting 12 weeks out of them.

That was the math I was trying to do. Dang, he might be right

test it. Get a 5 gallon bucket and cover the spinner. See how much it's throwing a cycle.

Well, it may only last a week if you have a large gap between the funnel spout and the spinner plate or it could last 6 months if you have a tiny gap.

The only way you will know exactly how much it throws is by putting a bucket over it and spin it for 5 seconds and then weigh how much corn was put out.

I've cut them back in the off season for 2-3 seconds and they seem to run a really long time, 90 ish days if I had to guess.

I have the same setup but I feed 3 sec morning and night on high and I get 5 weeks from a barrel if the wind isn't blowing and cows aren't knocking it.

I've got a small scale that I keep in my Ranger for weighing corn with the bucket method. I adjust all my feeders to last exactly 3 months to match my water tote that lasts 3 months as well

Different size funnels, distance between funnel and spinner, battery life and power, all of these things can change how much corn is thrown from different feeders throwing same times

I have measured the out put on my wild game feeder...I think.. with a one inch hole ...1/2 in. distance from spinner to the funnel...for each second it delivers 0.4 lb.s per second. I have a 35 gallon trash can feeder. This setup will last long enough for me. I try to go to the lease every other day or every three days. I like the deer to get to know who I am. When I hunt the deer come out knowing I will feed them. I see many large older bucks that way.

We have 8 feeders all with the same All Season timer box, The Timer, and the same spinner plate. But a few different barrel/funnel configurations. We set the space between the funnel and the spinner plate the same, top of the spinner even with the bottom of the funnel. They all throw at different rates. I am guessing battery strength/condition, charging, and different shapes of funnels make the feed rates differences. Some just seem to throw harder.
We try to set them so they throw a bag a week. Some are 3 seconds a feeding and some are 5 seconds.
