Brother called and said it's all on him. All I gotta do is ride. One of his customers was supposed to go I think. We are going October the 16th, hunting the 17th and 18th and coming home. It is this place and I can't figure out if it is wild or released. Looks like a THFer named Jay has been up there. https://quailquesthunting.com/ is the place. Lucky me

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I would think its at least a mix of released birds if they are hunting before the statewide season opens in Nov. Be damn fun to get out in some cooler air and smack some birds regardless!

"We offer wild bird hunting and whitetail deer hunts in North Central Kansas."

Right there on the home page. I agree though, I bet it's a mix. Wouldn't turn it down for sure.

if you look at the quail hunt pkg rates and whats included it says at the bottom "no bird limits".
it also mentions this on the pheasant page about wild or planted birds.

any time there is a "no limits" option its a dead give away its a release hunt.

all the same, I've never had a pen raised bird break my skillet and I've never had a dog refuse to hunt one either.

have a blast blasting!

p.s. please follow up with a review of your hunt I am looking for out of state trip options
thanks

I didnt mean to imply it states "no bird limits" on the wild birds, it just states they have both types of hunting available

A lot of those lodges you are still hunting lots off wild birds, just supplemented

Personally I think it’s only cost effective way of hunting pheasants if you don’t live in pheasant country.
