I’m thinking about doing a guided mule deer hunt in Wyoming in 2021. Checking to see if anyone on the forum has a guide/outfitter that they have hunted with in Wyoming that they would recommend. I don’t have many preference points so I recognize that may be a limiting factor. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

Former PRCA world champion bull rider Wes Silcox 801 376 8314. Was set to go with him this year but couldn't draw the tag.

I would suggest Jim Freeburn w/ Triple Creek Hunts. He has a small operation that takes a few hunters at a time on ranches in several units in SE Wyo with varying drawing difficulty. I have only elk hunted with him but saw some good bucks on the ranch I was on and have seen what deer hunting clients have killed.

Mike Zmek with Blue Rock Outfitters is the Man! I 've hunted with them 4 times (twice with Keith Warren) and Mike and his crew are top notch. I archery pronghorn hunt with them and after my hunts have finished, I've helped scout for big whitetails and mulies in both Montana and Wyoming with them. Tell them Terry McManus sent you their way. Flight is in to Gillette Wy and their basecamp is close to Broadus Mt. www.bluerockoutfitters.com

MikeOH have you bought your PP for this year , do it now if not.
I would also recc. Triple Creek hunts, he is in our neck of the woods and I know there are good deer on his places and he is a good man.
A little advice, Region J can be drawn with 0-1 PP, areas 59 and 64 have a longer season than other areas, Oct 15-31. I would look into outfitters with that season and book a last week in Oct. hunt. Mature bucks are pre rut staging with doe groups and much more visible. Rumor has it WG&F may implement some late rut hunts next year for CWD control issues, if they do big bucks will get killed that first year. We have some nice bucks in Region J don't let anyone tell you otherwise, outfitters.
Look over outfitters pics carefully, Cross C ranch and Table Mt take lots of deer but they are not what I would even consider paying for. Keil Outdoor adventures outfits right next to us, he takes some nice bucks too .
sent you a pm

I guess it may depend on what kind of hunt you're looking for also. Ranch hunts are pretty much a good bet on getting a buck. Back country though is what most folks really want to enjoy. For those you might look to western Wyoming. You will find wolves and grizz on those hunts, most of them anyway, but big country.
