See you at the Drake's.

A friend of mine and I will see ya in Weatherford. This will be her first pups first time. You worked with my dog a few years ago; I’m anxious to see if she remembers.

Be sure and tell me you want to watch and see what was retained. How long has it been.

It was my second year at Wildrose with Wal1809. Lady barely needed any shock this morning, one more of a refresher.

She will be 2 in September and Wal1809 said not to worry about next year due to her retention. Highly recommend. My other buddy brought his PP who had a form of snakebreaking but was not with Wal809, he was thoroughly impressed with the 3 different breeds of snakes and thoroughness of the trainer, he was keen to when our pointing dogs noses would pick it up etc.

If you can drive to one of his it is worth it for sure.

I am humbled at your kindness Sir. I love feedback, it is what guides my future. Thank you so much.

Wal1809 - Good to see you this morning at Unleashed. I hope you get some time to work on the shack in Sept.

This is the 2nd dog he has done. The first one wouldn't even go near the snake the 2nd time we went to him. As for today, I feel a lot better about the younger one. After the first snake, he didn't want any part of the 2nd. At least he has a chance now. Go with confidence that Wal1809 knows his stuff.

See you next year for a refresher.

I really do appreciate the nice compliment. Training dogs will never make me rich so far as money. It has made me a rich person if we leave the money part out. As hot and physically demanding as this training can be, I don't feel like I am working. I am starting to worry, wonder, if I can do this in 10 years. I am at my day job and I have yet to recover from Saturday and Sunday. I am teaching my grand nephews all I know so they can take over.

Note to self.
Don't bring a brown leather leash, to a snake avoidance clinic.
When I walked one of the red dogs over, to pick my leash up off the ground. He leaped 5ft sideways.
Good job, as always Wayne.

Our new pup caught and killed 3 garter snakes yesterday. I guess the recent rains drive them out. What age is appropriate for this avoidance training?

Any age depending on the detrimental environment. Meaning, if they are going to be around rattlers, get it done at any age. If they aren't likely to be around rattlers then I like to see them at 6 months or older.

Thanks for the reply. I'll get her to you the next time you are close.

BTW.. Piper says "sorry" for knocking you down in Weatherford a couple of months ago.
