Went to the lease last weekend to hunt doves. Also took the boat to try to find some teal. Got there too late on Fri to scout so I decided to hunker down by the pond. Opening weekend was real slow so expectations weren't great. Rosie had a good time chasing bullfrogs before the doves started flying. To my surprise it turned on. I wasn't in the right spot but still scratched out a dozen. The next morning I headed out early and got the spot I wanted. Not a lot of teal around but I was on the x and every group decoyed at 15 yards. Was back at the ramp by sunrise. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/09/full-6862-253805-20200919_075853.jpg) In the afternoon after moving some stands, I headed back to the pond, this time in the right spot, and had a solid dove hunt. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/09/full-6862-253806-img_20200919_213418_847.jpg) Sun morning went back out to the same teal spot. Somebody had come in behind me and left shell hulls floating all over, but still had enough to have another good hunt. I have been dragging butt all week. I can't go days on end without enough sleep and bounce back anymore. My teal season is over, gotta go out of town, but at least it worked out last weekend.

That's awesome! I know the bounce back deal... all too well. Sucks getting old.
