I hear ole Gus Young has run away all of his hunters again and is searching for more. This man is nothing but a lying crook. If you have had any dealings with him feel free to comment. This is all I have to say. Good luck to everyone and have a great season!!

We do appreciate being warned about crooks, but it does help to have at least some background on why that’s the case.

I can't believe he's still around. I've heard nothing but negative, but have no personal experience, when I met him to consider joining, I listened to my gut and glad I did!

I have some experience with a Gus from Throckmorton. 4 years ago my father in law & I leased from him. He gives you a predetermined place where he wants you to put your feeder. He is anal about you calling before you head to Throckmorton to hunt (gives excuse of him wanting to know who's around so he can search if you have car trouble) & makes you checkin at a signin board going out to hunt. We got picks of good deer but the problem is I found candy wrappers in my blind (I don't eat candy) & my game cameras where detached & pointed at the ground as if someone was trying to keep from getting their picture taken. My father in law also hid a trail cam & got pics of Gus driving his truck into our hunt area during the middle of the week when we weren't hunting. I think he sells season leases & then sells day hunts when he knows you won't be there. He also seems to have a drinking problem & is very argumentative if you break ANY of his silly rules. Buyer beware!!!!

Come on now. Ya'll leave ole Gus alone. He is not the worst guy I ever leased from. Sure he has some rules, but if you comply, he is easy to get along with. If it was easy to be a lease boss we would all be doing it.
