This was a while back but I know it's not rare. At the time though, I was oblivious. I hunted this 1100acre ranch in Coleman county for about 8 years and the barn owls would use this same tower blind every year. The adult would fly out the window and poop on her way out and I guess was trying to get it on the intruder(me) so I would leave.. She came close a few times. It was gross in the blind. But if you were in to the skeletal anatomy of rodents you would have loved it. Anyone else have pics like this? [Linked Image]

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

nope, but found out those birds don't fly very good when being thrown out.

A very unsafe blind came with the place. I wired the windows open and have declared it "owl habitat". grin

Over the last 4-5 years we’ve transitioned to metal blinds with sealed windows. Expensive, but sure is nice not having to dig out 6 inches of owl pellets every fall.

Strange how such ugly looking young grow into a cool looking adults. I remember giving up a blind many years ago to the birds.
