Gross. There is no suitable substitute for butter. Is Pam worse thar obesity? I tried to find it on with no success. Maybe that new search too that was discussed on THF will help.

No. I use real butter or olive oil. "Rich Butter Taste" doesnt mean "Contains Rich Butter".
Food out of a spray can isn't good. Propellants are for rockets. Not food.

Real butter doesn’t contribute to obesity. Real butter is redundant just like hot water heater or two twins..

Real butter doesn’t contribute to obesity. Real butter is redundant just like hot water heater or two twins.. Redundant for people with a brain. Unfortunately, some people confuse margarine with butter and don't know the difference. btw, I should have included bacon grease and lard in my list of cooking fats. I have both sitting next the the stove.

I'll use the olive oil one to grease a baking tin or casserole dish on occasion, just for convenience.

Real butter doesn’t contribute to obesity. Real butter is redundant just like hot water heater or two twins.. It is not. “Real” is a descriptor. When fake butter began to exist, there was a need to differentiate between the two.

People just have to keep in mind that a serving size of that stuff (at least on the cans I have here) is considered 1/4 of a second spray. Zero calories doesn't really mean zero calories, it just means that the caloric content of that 1/4 second spray is small, like 5 calories or less. Its not "zero" calorie if you drench your pan with it before frying up some chocolate chip pancakes.

Everything has +/- calories. Even the air you breath. Took a minute for the doc to splain but respiration is a metabolic process. Metabolic processes require (burn) calories. ...it's a slow day, just thought I'd throw that out there to catfish

I'm not saying that lubing up a skillet of eggs with pam is going to be the difference in morbid obesity and fitness, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're staying conscious of calorie intake. Personally, if I'm cutting calories (like after gaining weight during the holidays), I stick with my butter and oil, and just cut down on other things instead, usually sugary drinks, simple carbohydrates, and that sort of thing.

I am a big fan of butter. Kerrygold is what I enjoy.
I smear it on everything, If I am heavy training I will even put a tablespoon in my coffee each morning.
Might as well spray hairsprayer on your food if your using PAM or some other type of aerosol product out of a can for cooking.

I'm already six years beyond my life expectancy and weigh the same as when I got out of college. And, yes you can look it up.

Pam has a refillable plastic pump spray bottle containing olive oil. You can refill it. That’s what we use.

So some THFers are posting that doctors do not know what they are doing? Lipitor is the number one selling prescription in the world. Lipitor fights cholesterol.
"There is 0.0 mg amount of Cholesterol in 100 g, grams portion amount of Oil, PAM cooking spray, original"
