Well the wifey poo is on a “cooking” kick and asked me about an Instant pot. I realized I have 0 idea about them. They’re just a fancy, electronically controlled baby pressure cooker right? Who here uses them and what brand is better than the other?

We have one of the branded Insta-Pots, in the 8-qt size, and absolutely love it! Funny that you should ask, 'cause we just got done making a whole lot of wonderfulness in ours. Have to get these beef and noodles dinners into the freezer, so I can make something yummy for dinner.

Have a co worker who says he and the wife use it twice a week and they love it. I like my grill!

New to me. Worth a try.

I am ashamed of my grill status. I’ll get there.

My boss bought me one for Christmas. She loves hers, I gave mine to my sister in law. I’d much rather just do it the old fashion way, plus I enjoy to cook.

We have one, Instant Pot is the brand and I think it's 6 or 8 quarts, not overly large. I have become a big fan of using it on a variety of things just makes the time involved much less. There are many recipes online that I have tried, tweaked and documented the changes. My wife really prefers pork ribs done in the IP over smoked (she's not a big smoke flavor type). I can do 2 racks of ribs, start to ready to eat in well under an hour and then toss in the oven on broil for 4-6 minutes to add a bit of char on the BBQ sauce gives it an almost smoked flavor. A couple of weeks back, I did red beans to go with some cajun stuffed pork loins we were serving for a family gathering. about 70 minutes was all it took.

to me its like a pressure cooker crock pot combination to really help speed up what could normally be done in a crock pot with similar results. I really enjoy cooking and the IP is just another tool that I use.
