Sorry about the crummy pictures but this buck has only been seen on the game cameras twice over the last 3 years. He started as a 6 pt hard horn in 2017 & it looks like he became an 8 pt in velvet in 2018. No sign of him in 2019. This is on a Texas hill country ranch. I doubt he is still around but like Ahab I'm still hunting for my 6 pt cull.

I feel ya. We had a legendary buck we called tall boy. Never got a good look at him in shooting light. First as a big 6, then various up to 8 over the years. He was like a phantom. He finally died of old age we believe. This is the last pic we ever got of him.Bad pic but you can get the idea.Good luck getting yours! [Linked Image]

I hope he is still around. Hunting a specific buck can be a challenge.

Man, I'd love to have a better look at Tall Boy! We've been looking hard for the sheds of my wide cull each year but no luck. Where do these phantom bucks hide?

Good luck with yours. Here is a 6 that somebody will take off my place this year, I hope. He's been a 6 since we saw him 3 years ago.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

That deer would be considered a "trophy" at our place. Bringing him in would generate a lot of slaps on the back. Good luck with him.
