What skillet, pot, etc do you do most of your damage with? I’m still using el cheap-o red copper pans till they quit being non-stick. I Know can use cast iron on the glass top but I know it’s an accident waiting to happen around here.

Same for me, even with a few pots. Simply pour the oil off your crumbles and put them away.

Y’all know I use cast iron. Lately though, I have added three new high end Calphalon skillets to my stable and I’m surprised by how well they cook compared to CI.

A couple of my pots are calphalon. So far they work good.

The nicest thing about heavy duty quality pans like Calphalon and Cuisinart is the much more even heat distribution, and how much more forgiving they are of improper heat control. This is especially true of electric stoves, where the heat is not as controllable, and you lose the fine tmp control you have with gas. I have both 10" and 12" in both manufacturer's, and really like them. Same pans in the motorhome. Cooking is more enjoyable when you aren't worrying about sticking, or burning the food.

My wife's favorite in the RV is this Cuisinart Mini-Square pan tho. She loves grilled cheese sandwiches, and this is perfect!!! Makes a fantastic patty melt too. smile I love my old 6" cast iron one for breakfast eggs. I resurrected it from a rusty scrap pile, and sanded it back to smooth. Old is good!!!

I. Gave all of mine to New Gulf several years ago when I got my glass top burner.

Let me say that I absolutely . . . . . HATE having a glass top stove, especially since I learned a lot of my methods on gas. Every time I cook, it’s something I wish were different but this house doesn’t even have gas so it will always be electric. bang

When the wife and I first got married, she had never cooked on gas and was used to just turning the electric stove on HIGH, and when it started to burn - then turn it down. By then, its too late! Since I got her converted to a gas cook, she is awesome on temp control, and making anything taste wonderful.

For me, it’s an initial heat up thing for me. Having to wait to get the heat I want makes me start too early and things will stick. I hate that

I keep two of my favorite cast iron pieces on my stovetop at all times. A round griddle sometimes incorrectly referred to as a comal, but comals are typically made of clay, so it’s a griddle, and a #10’ Griswald skillet. I prepare most meals for the two of us using one or both of them.

These two are my favorites. Big skillet is 15" across the top and 12" on the bottom.

Calphalon and some less expensive T-Fal pans. I've gone through several of those orange pans that start sticking in no time. The one I washed yesterday may get used one more time before going in the trash on Tuesday.

10" Cast Iron is our work horse, we have a Griswold and a Lodge. We have several others, but use the 10' most often.

I lied. I don’t have calphalon. They’re a knock off. Good so far but I don’t use them often so give it time. I’ll mess them up.

I guess I have a few that would be my main skillet depending on what I was cooking. I have several cast iron of various sizes that frequently get used, but I have a couple of non-stick I use too. My skillet's aren't the jealous type and don't mind sharing various dishes or duties in the kitchen, pit or grill ...

I have 2 non stick calphalon pans a little bitty one and a bigger one and a large cast iron skillet. What im doing depends on what i use.

I prefer my glass top electric stove to gas. I have never been a fan of cooking on gas, you turn the heat down and the only thing that gets hot is the center of the pan.
