The wife decreed that tonight she was cooking dinner, and we were having plenty of carbs and calories! Who am I to pass up a deal like that?? Big center-cut pork loin steaks, fast-fried in the skillet, and then she made country gravy with the flour drippings. Idaho mashed potatoes, and sweet corn w/ butter! Good gravy should have some body to it. The fried flour and pieces of meat in it give a little crunch, and definitely add to a better taste. Some of these restaurants think hot, brown water is gravy!!
