If you were selected but don't purchase the lottery tag, do you lose your points?

Yes, you lose your points if drawn. Does not matter if you do not buy the permit. The only time I know of there is an exception is when the hunt is cancelled by TPWD.

The only time I know of there is an exception is when the hunt is cancelled by TPWD If you bought your permit, if you let your tag go into the 2nd draw and they cancel the hunt later you don't get points refunded
