I really wish his film crew and him wouldn’t be so descriptive on spots. They are almost as bad as BRO blowing out a unit in Idaho with a live Gohunt Tutorial. I know both CO spots for season 9 and 10

His target audience is definitely not vast majority of THF and damn sure is the 18-30year old left leaning hunters and on fence to be a hunter types.

I find his ideology interesting, he was first to call out the BHA BS on Bears ears and the straight lies of Patagonia, but you can see the people he surrounds him self are getting to be further and further left

Benny Bob is obvious. What he did with the NRA at yeti. Steve himself is not a fan of the AR-15. And I've seen one of the more prominent characters on meat eater publicly support BLM.

I think all of his new episodes are only on Netflix, so the ones being recorded on your DVR are reruns.

I don't really understand the reasoning why they are only releasing a portion of the season now and the other I think in January.

First time I get to watch them is in DVR, re-run or not. I like the show. The last one I watched where they ate a monkey, that’s something hardly ANY of us will ever do, if any. That’s cool to me

did some looking around and found the first 7 seasons on a streaming site called my outdoor tv. $10 a month. never got to see the first few seasons so i'm going to give it a try.

What I’m saying is, it’s now a Netflix exclusive. So all new episodes will only be available on Netflix. The primate eating in Bolivia is several years old. Anything being shown on network TV is from an older season that isn’t exclusive to Netflix. All new seasons are Netflix exclusives, I believe.

‘MeatEater’ Season 9 premiered on September 16, 2020, on Netflix. It consisted of five episodes. Now, here is the thing. The streamer has only released the first part of the season. Yes, we have the second half, making its way to viewer screens in the next couple of months. ‘MeatEater’ Season 9 Part 2 will most likely release sometime in December 2020. It should consist of five new episodes.

As far as a 10th edition goes, we need not worry. ‘MeatEater’, throughout its run, has garnered a solid fanbase. News of the next season should reach us soon. If renewed in early 2021, we can expect ‘MeatEater’ season 10 to release in late 2021.

They'd split seasons of The Ranch up like that. Probably to keep the fan base around.

That's my guess. When you can watch the whole season in a couple days, it's easy to forget about them if it's a whole year before you see anything new.

I think this is the most likely explanation. Break it up, let people consume half at a time, let’s people spread out the episodes while stil binge watching, and production can take its time to edit everything.

Sorry, media platform, meater started as a media platform.......book(hard and tape), video(ONW, YouTube, and Netflix), podcasting(think 6 pod casts), 5 blogs and now they are buying previous sponsors like Firstlite and FHF


Larger they get less dependent they want to be on censor ship enabled platforms, I’m sure. Two platforms can essentially kill your model over night and censor you

Ahh, gotcha. I think they’ll renew the Netflix deal if Netflix is willing to do it next year. It’s a huge platform that allows them to do all the other things you mentioned. With the Netflix deal, they don’t have to worry about funding everything else, but eventually, I think they’ll probably take it independent too. They’re just not there yet.

They will get censored eventually, though. Netflix is quickly becoming woke. YouTube is already there (but das boat allows him to still have a presence there), and his podcast is great and necessary for the brand, but the TV show is where it’s at. So you’re right, but I don’t think it happens before season 10 is released on some platform like Netflix, and I think that’s why they chose Netflix three or four years ago, knowing it wouldn’t be a lifelong deal, but would give them the most to quickly get what they need for the future.
