Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Looks like a great buck. Lot of neck for opening weekend, im sure later season and peak rut he would have been all muscled up.

Many areas of the state the rut starts in mid to late October so that neck is more inline with an early rut. Add in laying dead on the ground and relaxed muscles to hide his age even more. He looks very long and lanky on the ground.

Really hard to tell age just laying there. He appears to have some age on him. If you still have his teeth you can get someone to look at them to age. Hard to tell on score, once again just laying there, not alot to give any perspective. Maybe 150. Good looking buck.
