Good day today. Got a much anticipated care package from Texas!!!


The wife is heading out to her pinochle club evening, so it was a fend-for-yourself night. Shrimp cocktail appetizer, with HOT horseradish seafood sauce. Grilled cod filets, cole slaw, and Tabasco tartar (cuts the sweet, and gives it a little kick). Deep fried tortilla chips to make it finger food. G&T gulley washer.

I'd eat the snot out of that.

I need an education on gin. Nooooobody I know drinks it and there are a ton of different ones on the market.

It’s an acquired taste. Think I enjoy the tonic, as much as the drink. Either love it or hate it, some people say the juniper taste reminds them of pine needles or turpentine. I have to ask them “Do you make a habit of drinking turpentine?”

Most times, I’d just as soon have tea.

We love doing the chips, and use for everything. Really good with hummus too. A little melted cheese or chili queso will get addicting!!

Guess I'll have to try and catch some little fishes.
