What rewards or cash back credit cards do you guys use? Happy with them?

I recently switch from American Airlines to American Express for more flexibility and faster earning. Seems good so far, but I haven't tried to redeem yet.

My bank has a 2% cash back on everything mastercard. We use it for everything we can and the cash back is deposited to a separate account every quarter.

I use Capital One Visa (have had it for 20 years). I usually get a Lowes / Home Depot / other gift card (more $ for my points than getting cash).

I met a lawyer in Cancun one year who used a single card for both his practice and personal expenses, utility bills, everything. He said he traveled to Mexico several times a year on just the reward points.

I don't have nearly that much cash flow. laugh

I use the Capital One card that has the 1.5% cash back on everything for most of my purchases. Its as good as most of them and Samuel L Jackson was a bad arse Jedi AND Jules in Pulp Fiction, gotta obey him.

Now, this card is AWESOME if you shop Amazon a lot, they have a Capital One Amazon card that gets you 5% back as a credit you can use on Amazon toward other purchases! Its really a great deal. NOW be careful there is a Private Label Amazon card as well, (not a Visa, can only be used on Amazon) it also has the same program but its only 3% if I recall.

Credit Cards are the biggest con game played on American Business.

5% you say? I need to check that out. Amazon gets a huge chunk of my monthly spending.

I have a business card with 5% rewards on some things and 2% on everything else. I try run as much as I can on it. Sometimes 30 or 40k a month depending on what I’m doing

Not as easy as in past, direct flights availability signficantly decreased, and amount of AA miles for an award has increased. Although were some COVID deals. I use Citi Advantage card too for miles to travel to my Mexico place. Just don't get as many trips out of it each year as in past

But not for me. I get a 2 month float, then an auto-pay from my bank.

I have a Cabelas card and a scheels card. I use them as my debit cards and convert my points into wood and metals.

If I go to Walmart, I use a Walmart credit card, I think its Citibank but can't remember.

If I buy from Amazon, I use an Amazon Chase card.

Same for Home Depot and Lowes. I use their cards. You get a 5% discount on everything you buy at both places.

For Bass Pro or Cabelas I use one of those cards, have one of each. Get lots of Cabeleas and BPS points if you buy a lot.

Thanks, Billy

Thanks, Billy

Capital One cash back....I dislike cards with miles. I want the cash in my pocket to spend on whatever I want. Plus, those airlines can change the rules at any time and up the miles required for flights, which has happened to me before.

Yes sir!

The credits show up in your Amazon account when you check out...you opt to use all, some, or none of them.

Only bad part is, when I see the total cash amount available, and its like $500, I say "Wait, thats 5% of how much!? How much have we spent!?" LOL

We have an Amazon branded Chase card that we use for Amazon and to fill up the cars. I have another United branded Chase card for everything else. And Dan702 is right, I stopped thinking about how much we were spending on Amazon after having a few $90 credits. I had a BassPro card that we used to use for gas and small things. However, their stupid rewards kept expiring right before I had enough of them to buy anything. After losing a couple hundred dollars worth of "points," I finally said screw it and got the cash back card from Amazon instead. I'll probably get rid of the United Chase card in a couple of years when I don't need the miles for trips. But for now, I usually have enough miles with it to buy a few tickets every year. The trips and the two single-day, president club passes per year make up for the $90 yearly fee.

Thanks,
Rich

Chase Sapphire and SWA Chase credit cards. Have a Cabelas Visa, but no longer take it anywhere. Never use debit.
