We are off to a good start for the special teal season in southeast Louisiana. We got permission to hunt some new property and the scouting paid off. Limit of teal the first hunt and did well the second hunt. Hopefully this high water we have had the last few days with hurricane Sally won’t affect the last two weekends of the season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2byvXMt5hs&t=13s

Good looking water and some good shooters, that always helps with numbers

As the saying goes good players make good coaches. Well, when the ducks are there we all know what to do. It is hard to be a good duck hunter without ducks. We had a great time and hope our luck continues.
Glad y'all enjoyed the video. I hope I can make more because that means we are shooting ducks.

Way to many alligators in our marsh delta to have a dog swim in it. Very few people hunt with dogs in our area.

Way to many alligators in our marsh delta to have a dog swim in it. Very few people hunt with dogs in our area. See now that's something I've always wondered about. One of my best friends has a neat place with an awesome 15-20 acre lake on it. The bass fishing is incredible and the duck hunting (back when we used to hunt it) always was as well. About 10 years ago their neighbor said they saw a couple gators in there and ended up shooting this guy. I know that was a long time ago, but it's always concerned me and made me wonder if I should ever bring my dog. To my knowledge nobody has seen one since, but I'm curious if gators tend to stick around or if they roam the creeks and travel from lake to lake. I spoke with my buddy the other day and he said he was getting the itch to get after the ducks again. Would you be concerned to bring a dog after all this time?

There are still plenty of gators in there I bet. After the water gets good & cold it is safe to hunt with your dog. I wouldn't chance it in warm weather.

Take these posts back to LouisianaSportsman.com. No need to double post here and there. If you're really looking to kill some ducks come to TX to shoot some videos.
