I have pics of this buck for 3 yrs in a row and maybe a 4th year.
2020 he has the small notched out area in the lower part of his left ear. Mainframe 5x5 with one kicker on the right G2. Brows are a bit shorter this year but rest is improved.

2019 he has the small notched out area in the lower part of his left ear. Mainframe 4x4 with the start of a G4 on the left beam.

2018 he has the small notched out area in the lower part of his left ear. Mainframe 4x4

2017 not sure if this is the buck since the notched out area is not there. Some similar antler and other characteristics just now sure. Some differences also in the characteristics. This was the only buck I could find in 2017 the looked like it could be the buck in the next 3 yrs. Mainframe 4x4.

I don’t think the 17 pic is him. No notch and almost no increase in inches from 17 to 18.

Don't think he was born with the notched out ear.. grin..so that notch happened at some point after he was born. Like I stated above that I am not sure it is him either but that is the only buck I had pics of at the same feeder that resembled him.

Great pics stxr.

Really pretty deer!

Is he 5 or 6 this year?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

He was at least 5 last year with the staining on his hocks running down his bag legs. So that would make him at leas 6 this year.

Nice photos - you must either have non-hunting neighbors or no neighbors. smile 6 1/2 yr olds are a rare breed with so many obstacles to reaching that age.

All of my neighbors hunt...I had 12 or 13 mature bucks here last year that I had seen in person and on trail cams from end of August into the season on 234 acres. 9 of them did not make it or have not shown back up yet this year. 3 of them that lived have shown back up that I can account for. A couple I am not sure about that are here since their antlers were damaged in velvet or they went downhill.

12 or 13 mature bucks is a high number for that acreage - they must like the groceries you plant.

About 5yrs is the record on our place & he broke a leg bone you could see in trail cam pix and was gone. I think 3 yr old is the oldest I've seen on cam so far. There are usually a couple mature bucks that wander in during the season and are either killed or just seen on cams.

There has been one killed here that was 7+....I have seen some that were that old if not older. I have 5 yrs of pics of one buck that disappeared and he was 3 or 4 when I first seen him...others I have 3-4 yrs of pics of also. I feed protein year round, corn year round and plant spring and fall food plots. They do not all live on my place but most will be on it at least 5 times or more per week. Some everyday.... mornings, evening or both and into the middle of the night.
These are the ones I have pics of from this year so far. These are all 5+...the first one I am not sure exactly which buck he was last year since I had a mature 10 pt and 7 pt that made the season...he is probable the 10 pt. and the buck on the right in the 6th pic is not one I recognize...he could be the 7 pt and now is a 5pt.

These I feel are all 5 yr old but some may only be 4. Based off of watching the last 2-3 yrs I would call them 5 at this point.

More bucks that could be mature 5+ will show up this fall in the next 6-7 weeks as the rut approaches. Some I will have seen in the past just maybe not for a year or two...others I will not recognize.
