Looking for my son, he doesn’t want to break the bank but looking for a short range (bow range) rangefinder with angle comp that is very functional for bow hunting, quiet, easy to use/stow, and accurate.

Prefer one with an illuminated reticle. I was looking at the bushnell prime line but those appear to be black reticle.

Any help with experience in this arena?

Vortex, Sig and Luppy have a illuminated display, but you would have to research specific model.

My 2cents with illumination is a catch 20/20. To bright during limited light times and it blinds your night time vision and if left to lite during brighter day time periods and you can't see it.

Sig’s more expensive model has an auto brightness adjustment and I think it's worth its weight in gold. The original 2k unit had it, that's been discontinued and I think you have to go to 2400 unit know to get it.

I would think Vortex and Luppy should also offer an auto brightness unit
