Google maps and Google Earth is great most of the time. I've used it help evaluate hunting areas and leases before making long drives. My neighbor uses in his landscape business.

But trusting it without engaging your brain can be risky.

Our weekend cabin is one of those places you have to specifically warn people against using Google Maps for directions. Pin Drop or street address will get you the same results. Unless you have 4-wheel drive and good clearance, you will be stuck in an area with no cell service, no map refreshes, and find yourself walking about 2 miles. (With all the rain, I doubt 4-wheel drive will work this week). We are on a paved county road, but for some reason Google routes folks down a old road that has not been maintained in 20 years.

We all need to practice Whoa more.

This is not his first rodeo. Nick came back this morning to wash my driveway. He also said that he was not completely satisfied with the job on the front of the house and planned to touch it up.

I put his contact information on my phone. I no longer do business cards like I did back in the day.

Is his name Mike or Nick? Maybe it's the martinis?

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.
Don't text and drive.
