Looks cool, maybe to match your CF barrel?

Forged composite is a material composed of small pieces of carbon fiber composite material that are pressed into shape as the resin cures. ... The material is one-third as dense as metal titanium but stronger, and consists of chopped carbon fiber tows that are sandwiched between two layers of filmed resin.

$399.99 for rings. They better have lips on them.

I wonder if they come with 30 MOA built in, so my .22 will shoot a mile like the others on here chicken

For that price I'm surprised they aren't lighter. My 34mm badger unimount weighs 6.2 oz according to Badger, and is half the price. I'd rather save $200 if it only costs me 1 oz....

This is an answer to a problem that was never a problem to begin with!
Marketing genius though because all the mall ninjas will run out and buy the over priced carbon crap..

Just like a proof research barrel, let’s take a barrel and make it 3x the cost with no true advantage other than a few ounces!

To each their own, not for me!

Supposedly these have higher rigidity. I am not sure it will make a difference but they answered some questions in one of the blog posts

I'm starting to agree and think I'll go back to all steel on my next custom barrel

More is only good to a point. Once you have good enough more is a waste.

Question. It may be stronger, but you have a carbon fiber mounted onto a steel rail. Wouldn't the carbon fiber come loose or rub off the slots on the bottom to have loose tolerances? I don't know, just talking out loud here.

If you lay an abrasive cut of wheel on top of a metal table it wont cut through it.
