I filled the feeder about a month ago and checked my camera twice. Both time I have had lots of doe pictures with fawns but very few pictures of bucks. I am thinking that the bachelor group of bucks are just spending the summer on the surrounding farms. Thoughts ???

The bucks on my place were moving at night with all the heat. The does were getting all the corn before the bucks could get to the feeders. The bucks would only have the protein to eat, so they just waited till after dark. Now that it finally rained and cooled off a bit they are moving in the daylight hours a little better.

Having Doe at this time is good news. The bucks will move in come the rut. Do not give up on that stand.

Same here. I’m not seeing many bucks in the yard pasture compared to past years, but every year seems different in one way or another. Plenty of doe and fawns.

Same see a couple on the roads, but only a few near the feeders. Hopefully the does will draw them in when the season starts. Good luck

Made a drive through the pasture this morning, saw a couple of bucks were sleeping it off in the cedars.

I sat four hours today in Speaks and didn't see a single buck. I haven't checked cards in a month or more, but I'm sure they are still not moving much during daylight and the heat.
