I’m in the market for a crossbow/scope package. Will mainly be hunting out of ground blinds and have a $350 budget. Anything y’all would recommend?

In that price range look at the Centerpoint crossbows. Cabela's has several of those that are well under your price and even a 415fps version. Wicked Ridge some modles can be found onsale for that price about this time of the year, they will shoot slower than the Centerpoints but are made by Tenpoint and are very solid bows.

I have sold a few hundred Sniper 370 bows when I was working in the business and they had a good reliable track record.

For $50 more, you can get this great crossbow. It’s what I use and it’s really a nice and quality bow. It’s made by TenPoint.

I've got 3 deer over 2 years using a centerpoint. 370. Trigger is crap, but it can be found for a great deal.

I tried one ofthe Center points crossbows, have to admit I liked it. But I am too cheap, and I know I am too old to use the bows and crossbows anymore for hunting. I still attempt too target shoot on occasions.

Bought an Excaliber earlier this year. Went with it for ease of maintenance/replacement. Easy to put together, you can unstring/restring by yourself. Zeroed it in less than 5 shots, it shoots great.

Redchevy, everybodies idea of "acceptable" accuracy seems to be different. Thats true of any weapon but personally im trying to figure out what kind of accuracy a xbow is capable of. So what do you mean by "shoots great"? If you shot with a very solid rest at 20 to 30 yards would several shots all go in a 2" circle? 1"? 3"?

It shoots good enough i wont shoot groups with it because you will mess up arrows.

Myself, my wife, my dad and my mother all shot it at 30 and 35 yards. Nobody missed the bullseye on the target which is a 1.5 inch circle. We were shooting off the 2x6 banister on my front porch sitting in a chair so solid rest.

On the Excalibur crossbows there are some things you can add from them that will reduce the noise level a lot if you want to. Air-brakes are the most efficient noise reducers but when combined with the EX-SHOX and string stops the noise will be reduced considerably

I took this out and zeroed it Sunday afternoon, and had no difficulty center punching my target with field points at ranges between 30 and 50 yards. Word on the Excalibur forums is that this particular model requires a "robust" effort to load, and I'd agree with that assessment.
