Any trouble getting the Pintos done or did you use a pressure cooker. I know it depends on the elevation. Was on a elk hunt years ago and had a guy that cooked them it seems 2 days and still not done.

Sorry, almost missed this. For same day beans, I always start soaking when I get up at 0600. Start cooking around 1400 in the afternoon. If I want to start in the morning, I will soak overnight for about 8-10 hours. Always turn out great.

This is sweet, for eating with just butter or by itself. Usually, if I have any corn on the cob left from the day before, I will shave the kernels off and add to the batter. If I do it for chili dinners, I like grainy un-sweetened style.
