On that Small Town America chat, somebody mentioned Allsup’s burritos. Until the drive to Angel Fire I had never had one. You guys had talked about em, but I didn’t even know where an Allsups was. But, between here and Angel Fire there must be a hundred of em. Soooo, we stopped off at one on the way back and got an assortment. The green Chili and something or other wasn’t that good. The beef and bean one was great. More testing is required, but early indications are positive.

Did you notice there was no road kill on the sides of the highway after you entered into New Mexico? Rumor has that Allsups has the contract to keep the roadkill in New Mexico cleaned up. clap

Great idea!

It would keep the line short at Alsups on holiday weekends.

The Beef and Bean is excellent, the Chimichangas are excellent, and the Flag of New Mexico has the Allsup's logo on it.

What's not to like?

Beef n Bean is where it's at. In 30+ years they've never done me wrong, but I have a pretty strong gut.

I usually grab some in Abilene on the way home to Arlington from the lease. It's best to get them from an Allsup's that is pretty busy though or you might get some that aren't so fresh. The one right off of I-20 and old Anson road is pretty good.

No Allsups in these parts so have never had one, but back in the day we used to have a few Ice Box stores that served the best fried burritos ever. Used to eat the heck out of those things.
