Took the older boys to the lease to shoot birds but ended up being more of a work weekend. We had planned on putting up some new quad pods around the wheat fields, but discovered a storm had come through the Seymour area a couple weeks back and blew our fiberglass blinds right off the bases. That’s rights, screws still in the base, blinds blown right off. I’ve heard up to 80 mph straight line winds came through.. we found one fiberglass stand 80 yards from the base with 5 of the 6 windows busted out.
In the end, we had a good time and got everything back in place. Saw a lot of wildlife and even 1 surprise in the last pic.

Downed blind.

I believe this is a common snapping turtle. Found him around 4 pm walking between two ponds appx 500 yards apart.

I have a bachelor group of about 8-9 hitting this feeder. Sorry for the quality.

I had 8k pics over the last month and caught this deer in the background twice. He’s about 40-50 yards behind the feed pen but I didn’t see a deer in the pen nearly this wide. Anxious to see him in person. Again, apologies for the quality.. cheap camera and I had to zoom in as he’s pretty far back behind the feeder.

Great buck, great color on that toad! Sorry to hear about the destruction but at least you got it resolved.

good looking bucks! That storm must have been wicked, we had downed trees and branches all over the place. Luckily, no stands were damaged.

I found four rocking chairs blown to the end of our porch and another wrought iron chair blown 20 yards off the patio at our place. No blinds down but some branches down also. Definitely some strong winds.

Nice bucks. Lots of potential targets.

Thanks, this is our second season out here.. moved up from the hill country after 8 years or so. It’s a change in scenery that’s for sure.

I've learned over the years unless there is no other choice you are better off keeping the blinds on the ground in the rolling plains........even then you had better wire them down the right way........

Id be interested in something like that even though these are only 5 ft up. I’m also not a fan of rattle bugs.. neighbor killed one right at 50” on Friday evening and I’ve had one curled up under a ground blind that was sitting on cement blocks. But, I sure don’t want to see 2k $ equipment flying through the air again.

What’s really mind boggling is that all of our feeders but 1 were still standing.
