I know this is a subjective question. All things being equal..if you had a week to bow hunt .obviously it would be the rut..if you had a choice would you hunt the week of a new moon or full, harvest moon??

well this year full moon is two days before opening day and then again on Halloween. I would watch for a weather temp drop instead. Over the years the third week of Oct been good to me.

That last couple weeks of October can be fantastic, I know a lot of areas the rut is starting to kick off then and I have seen bucks tending does in those last 2 weeks of October. I really like hunting the Quarter moon periods, seems more movement early and late in the when most of us want to be out there especially if it is hot.

That's when I'll be in trees and ground blinds too. Good luck. Should be better this year for the corn feeder hunters as I'm not seeing bumper crop of acorns but I'm prepared with sets either way.
