I have a Jeff Hollett knife that I’m thinking of selling but i have zero idea what it’s worth or where the best place would be to sell. Heck, i don’t even know what protocol is when it comes to selling knives online. Ha.

Through searching I’ve got some very basic info on Jeff Hollett knifes. But beyond that i have very little idea as to what i actually have. I was a gift from Jeff to my dad many years ago. My dad always kept it in a show case and never used it. He gave it to me a few years back & it’s been sitting in a box ever since. I love the knife but I’m not going to use it, not gonna show it, & i have no sentimental attachment to it. Plus I’m needing every penny possible to fund a guitar I’m having built.

So yeah, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks my friends.

Jeff

You're certainly not going to get rich selling it, his knives can be found selling from $150.00 to $300.00. You can list it on the classifieds here on THF, typically not a great place to sell knives. I post some on here occasionally for sale without expectation, however I do sell one here every now and then. Ebay might spark some interest.
I'd keep it, down the road you're going to kick yourself in the butt for selling it. As far a having a guitar build going, I'm a retired musician. Trust me bro, if play very long and spend as much time on stage as I have, you're going to go through guitars like water.

Thanks so much for the info.
Oh trust me, i know the life of a musician & going through gear. Been full time since ‘04 & grew up in a household where my dad started singing & playing in the 60s and finally retired this year. Ha. Thankful to say music has done my family good. Definitely not rich in money but it’s always provided & we sure love it.
As of now, I’m more concerned with owning things that I enjoy & that help me make a living, than I am a knife that has sat in a box for years. Beautiful knife but it will continue to sit in a box.
I was able to find a seller in FT Worth who sold a Hollett knife nearly identical to mine back in ‘18 for over $450. I, however, don’t think I’ll get close to that in today’s market but every little bit helps.
Again, i really appreciate your info. That helps me with realistic expectations on what i could possibly get from the right buyer.
Ps, i hope you haven’t completely retired from playing guitar. Ha

Go to Arizona Custom Knives. Type in his name. will show if any of his are for sale and asking price. Have sold several custom knives through them.

Nope, I still play with some guys from church for grins and a few gigs a year.. When I quit I was playing 26 nights month.. Just got too tired of road food and sleeping in hotels. My buddy Tommy Nash is playing with Neil Mc Coy before that he was with the Dixie Chicks most of us went our on way but still dabble in it. If your are on Facebook, the link below of me and my sons; I had them both on stage at 12 and 14.
