Talk about a "Blast from the Past", this week on CARNIVORE we will go back and look at CALLING ALL VARMINTS, a VHS tape we released 25 years ago. While it was released in late '95, much of the video was shot over a couple of years before that.
I must say that I was a little shocked when I saw a 40 year old "Flat Bellied" Gary Roberson and humored by the high crown caps and big glasses. This was released a couple of years after we introduced the original Compucaller, the first digital caller ever built. Ironically, 25 years later Burnham Brothers is introducing the ROGUE, the first ultrasonic game caller.

Good show. I stiil have one of those old Barnum Bros. mouth calls and when I bought it probably 30 years ago it came with a little plastic mouth squeaker. Had a rubber band on it if I remember right. Very good at bringing varmints in close.

I've got one of those. I had to ask my little granddaughter for some of her little craft rubber bands to fix the two ends. I still have the box that has the Marble Falls address.

Thanks so much for watching! It seems a lot of folks like to look back and see how far we have come. One of the things that jumps out to me is the poor quality of the video compared to the 4K cameras we use today. I know it is much easier to be a cameraman today as the gear we pack into the field is so rugged, small and lightweight to the older equipment.
