Send em all to Yellowstone and let them play with the bison...….while they are in rut

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Can't get mad at the elk.

If someone stuck an arrow in me twice, I would want revenge too.

Yep......if I can only use an arrow I am making sure he’s not breathing before I approach......for as long as it takes......

The only happy ones in this sad story were the Tillamook prisoners whom got the donated meat. Very, very sad...

Yes, it is a sad deal for his family that is left behind. However, when I go, I'd rather go doing something that I love doing. I just hope that does not happen for a long, long time.

We would all love to die while doing some we truly love doing. No doubt being gored to death probably isn't on anyone's list.

Tillamook Oregon, they have a cheese company that sells through HEB, I believe HEB also sells the Tillamook Country Smoker beef jerky. I used to get a care package of smoked meats and cheese from a guy that lived there. Good stuff.

Yes it's on the coast, they have tours of the cheese factory and offer free samples and soda at the conclusion. Good stuff. Their ice cream is pretty good too.

As usual, there are a lot of folks praising the Elk and hating the Hunter.

I'm ready for the purge.

A 66 years old man no matter how good a shape he may think he is in can't move very fast or have the reflexes to jump clear and escape.
Just another reminder that if alone in the woods it can be a dangerous place, and we should respect that fact at all times.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Really tragic. Makes one think about risks we take for granted. As a young lad I went to cut the throat of a downed spike buck he apparently wasn't interested in my putting him out of his misery and almost gored me as I bent over to make the cut. Put a nice hole and rip in my jacket as he swung his head at me. Fortunately I was quick enough to avoid any real damage however it could have been much worse. I shot him in the head to end my foolish initiatives.
