Everything's broken up and gone around the ranch. 'Listened to thunder about an hour ago to the northwest, wind blew. Now the sun's shining. Nothing for a month and a half, if not more. Frustrating. Praying.

On the plus side, the concrete patch goop I put on the overflow trough, built in 1934, at the windmill, actually worked! It is actually holding water! Where do I pick up my Junior Rancher badge? confused2

Just got back to the place. Rain gauges were full to the point that I think we got 6” or more.

Last night we got another 4 3/4”, making a 2 day total of approximately 11”. It’s been a while since I saw so much lightning. The rain was very heavy.

5" when I dumped the gauge yesterday evening with at least 1" more overnight I'd guess - too dark to see the gauge when I left for work. That's more rain since we've had from May 5th - Sept 1. combined. Filled my pond back up - wish I would have had more time to dig it out more.

Cochise reminded me that I need to go look at the ponds. But it’s raining. Geez...

So, a hurricane comes near me and I get a miserable half an inch (which I was happy to get), and now I get a flood that comes from nowhere.
