My third Timex Expedition has given it up. It’s cheap, at $35, but I can’t get more than about 3 years from one. I could just get another one, but maybe there’s a better option. I like the push button illumination a lot, being useful in hunting season. I’m assuming that some of you have similar type watches with longer life. Help me out here and tell me what you have that works and lasts.

My $10 watch from Big 5 uses a free LED light from Harbor Freight for illumination. I did have one of the Timex watches, but somehow, it sprouted legs and walked off one day. I liked it, but when I looked for another I couldn't find one.

Found my way to the camp house bathroom back in the day. Thanks a bunch for posting. Brings back old memories.

There is a little white ring around my wrist when I'm not wearing my Timex.

Its the home button on your phone. Nobody wears watches anymore unless its a "look at me" thing with a Rolex.

EDIT: I guess I should add the Apple watch. I'm told I should get one to make sure I'm actually alive. Since I typed this I don't think I need the Apple watch.

Budget???
Just get a Luminox Colormark. Super bright at night. Simple watch with BRIGHT hands and dials. Very affordable

Not as confusing as MOST Casio watches, they look cool but the directions were written by an idiot, too many unnecessary functions. Ask me how I know.

That’s not true. There’s plenty of reasons to wear a watch, and plenty of people do it, without it being a “look at me” thing.

I never wear watches, large wrists. But have thinking about an Apple Watch. Might be more comfortable and useful.

I just got an Apple smart 5 watch, 44mm, it's plenty bright, and it talks to me more than my wifey about important things like - get up and move! Has to be charged every 18 hours or so. Like most of the features, like being like Dick Tracy and answer the phone with my watch.....how many remember that?

This^^^^
I have been wearing Timex Indiglo watches for at least 25 years. I have to replace them about every 4 years due to wear and tear. (They are definitely not a look at me showpiece) Usually have to replace the leather band at least once on each watch. I farm and ranch and they take a beating.

I wear a watch far less since I retired since I have far less "must do's". I started buying $10 watches at Walmart many years ago when I realized they were just as accurate as anything costing several times that.

Analog Timex Expedition with pushbutton light for many years. I just buy a new one when needed. I did have a Casio version of it with pushbutton light that was brighter than the Timex. It lasted for about 4 years.

That is the one thing that is stopping me from getting a Apple watch is how long it doesn't last on a charge. I have been wearing a fitbit for the last 4 years or so and like that I can get anywhere from 4-5 days on a charge. When the one I currently have craps out I am going to get the fitbit versa since it's waterproof.

After much research online, and being shocked a bit by the cost of some of the watches, I went with a Luminox Sentry that’s all black, with red markings. About $200, which is a long way from my $35 Timex, so it better be a good watch or I’ll...uuuh, I’ll...well, I guess I’ll bitch about it.

The wife has parked her Rolex and wears her new Apple Watch. She can make phone calls with the darn thing, and do all sorts of other stuff, like text and maybe do email. And she has to charge it every night. Personally, I don’t want a watch that spends half its life on the stinkin charger.

It’ll be a cold day in you-know-where when you see me in an Apple Watch.

+1, when I wore nicer watches I would forget sometimes to take them off when I got off work. After having a couple fuined by dog or whatever I went to the cheap ones like this one. I prefer the ones that have easy to change batteries.[Linked Image]

I have a bunch of watches that I kind of rotate, But, when hunting season rolls around, I only wear to ones with the illuminated dial. It lets me know how long till shooting light which is just a little before 7.
