Guys I know this is last minute but Walmart, Academy, and Bass Pro are all out of dove calls and season opens tomorrow.
Anyone know where I can find one?

Not to be rude, but are you serious? I know dove calls exist, but I need someone to convince me they do anything. If you've got mojos then you'll be just fine.

I have never used them, but I have yet to hear of any one REALLY have luck with them. Another vote for MOJO's. Those WORK. I've seen them pull dove in.

Had a hunter bring a dove call 2 years ago. We set him in spot in the mesquite trees and told him it only works if they can't see you.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Many years ago, I played one at my backyard during spring. It did bring many doves to my neighbor's roof. But, I never use them in the field, since I think other facts, i.e. water spot, tree line, etc. are more important.

I'd be willing to bet your protege has an extra one you can borrow underneath that umbrella.

I bought 2 last year and let me tell you they work. My buddies went out and bought their own and with 4 going in a field all we needed was a net.

You can't just buy the cheap dove calls. Dove calls need to be cut out of brazilian yew after it has weathered for 20 years. And then you can only use the heartwood of the first three feet of the tree. It has to be soaked in salt water at an exact temperature for 21 days. The reed is a dried banana leaf infused with mercury.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

I got one but its made of kryptonite. Had it 20 years. I think mine sounds more like collared doves.

I wasn't impressed with Mojos when they first came out. I love them now. I'm willing to keep an open mind about calls.

it never ceases to amaze me as to what can be manufactured and then actually purchased.

Why? All you have to do is go to Cabelas, Bass Pro or Academy.
