Haven’t ever hunted Ennis but got an invite to go on opening day. We’ll be just North of Rice off 45. Anybody hunted that in the past, or live down in that area? If so appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I’ve hunted the Waxahachie area quite a bit, not a lot of luck, a lot of really slow days. I’ve been told the hunting is better from the Italy/Milford area east towards Corsicana. I’d definitely give it a shot, better than staying home!

I went on opening morning to my land between Rice and Emhouse. Saw maybe 5 birds fly by in the distance and another few on the power lines. Definitely have seen more before the season started but they disappeared that day. For some reason the area doesn't have much of any kind of game animals (hogs, deer, coyotes, and birds).
