Low Country Okra Soup

THIS is how it's made in the low country (lower coastal SC) where I grew up.

I love it fried in corn meal !!!!!!!

Both of my neighbors gave us okra 2 days ago. I cut it up and battered it and then spread it out an a baking sheet and put in freezer over night. We ate half of it last night and I froze the rest for the future. It will be good for 2-3 months from now.

Love gumbo, but okra just kinda disappears in it. I really enjoy fried or pickled!!

Gonna have to try this. I looked at a similar recipe a while back but never fixed it. Sounds really good.
