Okay so here's my new 14.5" 6mm ARC build. Barrel is from Faxon (heavy profile) and pretty much everything else is from Bravo Company. Also has a Geissele SD-E trigger and H2 buffer. Haven't shot it yet because I'm wanting to get a new scope for it instead of zeroing it with my Viper 1-6. This will primarily be used for deer hunting out to 250 yards max, and hopefully shooting steel out to 800ish. Don't care if its SFP or FFP but I do prefer MIL and if its compact/lightweight that's even better.

*What is the best 30mm scope I can get for $800 or less?

I don't know if its the best under $800 but it has to be the best value under $500. It's actually pretty compact and it's only 20.5 ounces.

Here is another. I'm not sure what magnification you are looking for.

No love for some of the newer Trijicon offerings like the Ascent or Huron?

Here's what I posted then:
I will keep beating the Trijicon drum. You can get an Accupoint 3-9x40 and multiple power ranges of their new Huron line. I like my accu-whatevers and I'd personally try anyone of theses if I were in the market, especially the 2.5-10.

Edit:
I saw this the other day and thought it might be the ultimate hunting scope for me. Great power range on a small profile. Again, I'm now just a trijiocn fanboy. Their military/leo rated stuff is great but pricey. These civilian version have been great bang for the buck imho.

I'm a Trijicon fanboy too. I have 3 of the 3-9 AccuPower in MiL Square. It's my favorite hunting scope.
