New 22LR Precision Rifle Match Our second 22LR Precision Rifle Match will be held Sunday, August 30th! Setup starts around 7:30AM, and the match starts at 8:30AM. Online sign-up is available (and preferred) through Practiscore at: https://practiscore.com/ntsa-august-22lr-precision-rifle-match-1/registerAs this is the second match, I'm sure there will be some questions. Please email me (Brian Smith) at flyswa737@yahoo.com with any questions you may have. We will shoot 6 stages with a mixture of steel and/or paper targets shot from prone, barricades, standing/kneeling/sitting positions, strong side and weak side, and movers. Distances will be from 10 feet to 200 yards, and some of the targets will be very small. Rules 1. 22LR ONLY 2. There will be no movement with a loaded rifle, if the stage has multiple positions to engage targets from, all movement on the clock will be BOLT BACK, MAG OUT 3. NO Bullet Drop Compensating Scopes Allowed 4. NO Tube Feed Rifles Allowed 5. All other Club Safety Rules apply which include rifles stored unloaded in cases/bags with chamber flag when a shooter is not under the supervision of an RSO, eye/ear protection and a hat with forward facing brim Suggested Equipment 1. Bolt Action or Semi Auto 22LR rifle capable of 1 inch(smaller is always better) groups at 50 yards with three 10 round mags 2. First Focal Plane scope with MRAD reticle and knobs, a MOA scope will work too 3. Bipod 4. Shooting Sling 5. Shooting bag, only 1 can be used from start to finish, so choose wisely, the SAP WC Solo or Weibad Whiskey Charlie works on barricades and prone. 6. Some sort of DOPE tool to figure out scope adjustments for the varying ranges, Strelok/iStrelok is a free app, or just do it the old fashion way and record data with a pen/paper 7. Small note book to write down DOPE, an arm board is very handy 8. 100 rounds of ammo 9. Open Mind This will not be a monthly match, but will always take place on Sunday mornings. At times more than one shooter will be engaging targets at the same time, each stage will have a par time to complete, and some may have a prep time in which shooters can dry fire, setup and adjust scope for the stage, ask questions, but once the Load and Make Ready is given, no further questions will be answered. Get off the bench, and lets have some fun! Brian Smith NTSA 22LR Precision Rifle Match Director flyswa737@yahoo.com NTSA | PO Box 2042, Denton, TX 76202-2042

Lol you have to clear your weapon to move positions on a barricade? That is just stupid and will take forever especially for an auto. You'll have to pull mag, throw the bolt ejecting the live round, then move to new position, put mag back in and charge the bolt again. On a normal barricade you'll have to do that 5 times? No thank you. Good thing they're only shooting 6 stages.

Not smart to rule out the semi-auto people.

Kind of a dumb rule, just make sure people use the safety or they are DQ’ed.

They have to be...the city has moved closer them. I get why they do it...but as a shooter, that does suck. I will say I bet you the standings would be the same regardless because everyone has to do it and the better shooters are the better shooters...multiple mag changes or not. It's a dayum nice facility and great club, glad they open it to non members to shoot some of their stuff.

That sucks Senior but I hear there is a logical explanation. There is a lanky old man partnered with a younger salt & pepper haired gentleman that attract the majority of 22LR shooters that want to compete, in that same area too.
