I get busy prepping for deer season this time of year so not as much time to spend on forum. Im just so excited I have to post a few pics. This lease I just got on last year as a second lease and it was real unique situation where I hunted solo on a pretty big chunk of country that had practically never been hunted. Got set up real late and saw lots of good deer but with me being so picky and the enormous acorn crop i never pulled the trigger(nothing new for me.) Added some country and now theres 4 of us.
Fast forward to this weekend and we pulled cam cards and saw several big bucks never seen last year and bigger than last year. I knew this place was real good but im kinda surprised already seeing these deer and corn only throwing a few seconds. For yall that remember my age/score threads from last years bucks, those bucks havent even showed up yet. Anyway, once they get in hard antler I hope we get more pics and ill do an age/score post but for now I just wanna share the pics with yall. I really enjoy all pics that yall post so I hope yall enjoy mine. I may of overdone this post with pics but I guess im over the top excited right now. Its been 8 years since I found one that was big enough and I think this may be my year. Also, they look like they have some more growing to do which surprises me so curious what some of yall experts think.

The first guy is the highest scoring. Hard to see all his points but we have more pics so ill help you out and say he has 18 to 20 total. Lots of stuff coming off inside of beam down low. Buck with him has a drop and kicker but hes just unique. [Linked Image]

This one has 17 points. Basic 6x6 with a kicker off rg2 and 3 total on each brow. Probably not as big a frame as the guy running with him but those extra points add up. This buck and the next one are in the same pic often. [Linked Image]

This is the other one running with the previous one. Basic 5x5 with matching short kicker off g2s and a big extra off the lg3. He keeps lulling me to sleep in some pics and then he blows up in others. [Linked Image]

Yeah, like he's doing something wrong. How good does it have to be?

Thinking I will no longer show my photos.

I’ve done nothing right or wrong. Same ownership 60 years an small handful of family all that’s ever hunted an they kill almost nothing. It’s just what God can do with big property that’s left alone. I’m not saying management wouldn’t help but this is all natural. No HF, no protein, almost no doe killing and certainly no culling.
And please, Hud, keep posting.

Some big fat deer in those pics. The night pic makes that one buck look quite old. Day pics not terribly different but shocked he doesn’t have some extra neck skin given how thick his body is.

Very nice deer. I am anxious to start misread age/score threads with the season coming. I always enjoy seeming how bad my guesses are compared to more folks in the know.

Great looking bucks Earl....... I don’t think the one on top with all the points is older than 4........I would target the mature 12 with all the character points on the bases....up

HOLY chit batman.
Those are some great bucks!

Sure is green there freerange. Wish my place looked something like that color right now instead of the African plains in the dry season.

About what area is this in?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Bigger than 1 section but less than 100 sections grin Big enough to hold and grow mature deer.

As referenced in my other thread, this is why I don't see my big deer as a monster. These are fantastic!
