Did you fish Taylor River Reservoir? I fished it many years ago when I was a mere lad of 13. We trolled and caught both trout and salmon. No, didn't wet a hook there. It's more like a moto cross atmosphere around there. I wanted to go to the river north, where the river dumps into Taylor lake and fish like I did years ago. But with Mirror Lake, and Spring Creek Reservoir very close there wasn't much thought that went into the decision to pass on Taylor Reservoir. Mirror Lake, as shown is some of my pic's is one of the most beautiful lakes you'll find. Three Rivers Resort, Almont, Co.

Knowing what to throw, rigging and landing the fish is the hard part. I prolly cast several hundred times on the 8 hr float and never had a problem with a tangle. I haven’t exercised my right arm that much since I was 13 years old. It’s the best way to present a bait that is very much like their natural selection.

That looks like a cool trip, not the typical touristy spot. I check out your coordinates, pretty dang remote spot. Very cool trip, thanks for sharing.

Great pics. My grandfather taught me how to fly fish when I was 12 at the Pitkin kiddie pond. We drove up to Tincup when I went back up there right before I married in 1978. We surveyed the town limits for the fun of it. Beautiful country. Thanks for posting.

Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I popped the question to my wife in those mountains about 15 years ago, truly one of my top few favorite places on the planet. We went last year with our 8 and 4yo kiddos. They were just as taken by the scenery as we are. Lots of snow last year well into the summer. A couple of the passes that we frequent hadn't opened yet in early July.
