I honestly expected a picture of a glass half full with the bottle behind it.....only question in my mind was neat or in the rocks.....

Have to be real careful not to over cook wild turkey.
I seasoned it up real good, and folded the pointy skinny end of breast under the middle part to try to make it all the same thickness. Then pulled it out of oven before it came all the way up to temp.
It was juicy and tender.

Was never really a fan of baked wild turkey, and usually just breasted them out and had it fried in butter. Then one day at the lease a friend did it; injected with honey and butter to stay moist and sealed in foil for a couple hours, then uncovered and basted with butter, honey, parsley, sage, thyme, garlic and salt/pepper. Oh wow, there was nothing to complain about there. He gets to do one every trip now!

I LOVE Wild Turkey, but it's best I stay away from it. Last time I was taking shots of it (a few years ago) ...after I got finished cleaning a couple gut shot deer for my pals on a company hunting trip (it was more than shots, I was cleaning their deer and they were feeding it to me from the bottle when I was skinning & quartering)...and after almost every one went to bed, and I scrubbed & cleaned the cleaning area and made sure every thing else was taken care of and turned the lights off...I began the journey down hill to my truck. I am not used to hills or drinking Wild Turkey. I lost my balance after tripping on a rock and starting running down that hill trying to catch myself full speed. I ended up slamming head & shoulder first into the driver's door of my F-350 and smashed the door in. I got up, got in, & started my truck to drive back to the bunkhouse. My co-worker and recently retired Army Sargent Major of 25 yrs was there with me, and he was laughing his azz off. He said "Man are you OK?? Seriously? You just hit your truck like a cannon ball and jumped right back up like nothing happened. I've seen a lot chit in the Army, but I ain't ever seen anything like that. Are you OK man!" I don't remember much after that but according to him, he said all I was worried about was making breakfast for the guys before the morning hunt

So, yes I stay away from it now. Normally.

Only had wild turkey breast fried but never had one i didnt like.

It is really hard to beat chicken fried turkey breast strips,home made mashed potatoes,biscuits and gravy.
But I have lost a bunch of weight and trying to eat healthier when I can.
The baked turkey was really good, just don’t overcook it.
