Picked up a deal on some Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass. Noticed it's "Small Rifle" primer. Any difference in loading? My current load is 42.4 for the 140 ELDM and 42.9 for the 135gr A-Tip, with 210M's. H-4350

Firing pin in the rifle should be for one or the other. What primer size are you currently using? I assume LG

Might have to have your firing pin rebushed or some thing like that.

https://www.starlinebrass.com/sr-65cmStarline suggests proper selection of primer and powder for large volume cases using SRP. Ignition being the concern. Can't imagine the firing pin needing to be centered. Prime a case and (in a safe outdoor direction) bust a primer to see where it hits.

You will need to change the primer punch! LOL The firing pin should be fine, will most likely need to find another node.

Buzz, I think your 6.5 Creed is a custom action, correct? If so, I would think the firing pin is fine for SRP.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I have used both SRP and LRP, no firing pin issue either way. Dies work on both as well. Might have to do a minor tweak to your charge due to lower volume ignition. I'm using a know node and it stays in it with either primer.
