Picked up a deal on some Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass. Noticed it's "Small Rifle" primer. Any difference in loading? My current load is 42.4 for the 140 ELDM and 42.9 for the 135gr A-Tip, with 210M's. H-4350

Firing pin in the rifle should be for one or the other. What primer size are you currently using? I assume LG

Might have to have your firing pin rebushed or some thing like that.

Starline suggests proper selection of primer and powder for large volume cases using SRP. Ignition being the concern. Can't imagine the firing pin needing to be centered. Prime a case and (in a safe outdoor direction) bust a primer to see where it hits.

You will need to change the primer punch! LOL The firing pin should be fine, will most likely need to find another node.

Buzz, I think your 6.5 Creed is a custom action, correct? If so, I would think the firing pin is fine for SRP.

I have used both SRP and LRP, no firing pin issue either way. Dies work on both as well. Might have to do a minor tweak to your charge due to lower volume ignition. I'm using a know node and it stays in it with either primer.
