While everyone is doing aging pictures, what do you see here? This dude is nocturnal, so can't give any daylight pics.

He looks geriatric in some ways, but not in others. Also don't have a face on that's worth a darn in black flash

Some pictures I think 5, others I think 7 or 8. Can't nail it down, but he would be nailed down if he comes out in the light

The pointed rear end makes me say either 5 or 7. His beat up ears and knee if from fighting so that leads to me sway more 7. He is setting down on his hooves a bit but not like a 7 yr old would nor is his hock stained like a 7 yr old would be in the summer...but not every buck has those two characteristics at 7 or older. Only one pic has him standing broadside with his head part of the way up so it is really hard to judge the top of his shoulders. If he has a hump on top of his shoulders then he is more than likely 7+. Brisket depth and width leads me to lean more towards 7+ though.
With 13"-14" G2's and really good brows he is going to score well.

Here are a couple of other pics -- I know this is him, and one is daylight but only shows shoulders (to your question which is why I didn't post it first)

This pic, the rack looks like him but I'm unconvinced. Adding it in here as a "maybe" to provide a different angle

Don't know how old he is, but I would certainly be hunting the Tower stand.

The last 2 pics makes him look 7 or older now to me.

He's got good length, but the mass isn't there. He's started shedding, but I think some of that will thin out a little as we make it through Labor Day.

Either way, I won't complain if he winds up 160+

At 160 I think you are still a tad low....

Nice humble brag here TLew....awesome buck.

As STX's first reply said, with that frame he is old enough, age should not matter.

I hope you get to ground check him this year!

Sincerely wasn't a humble brag. I was most curious of age -- at 5 I'd be tempted to let him breed a couple more years to pass those genes along. At 7, he's dead on site. I kept going back and forth.

I'd be happy to post other deer on cam or some small euros hung up if you want me to be really humbled. Y'all usually post up monsters, and I was very happy with this one but never thought of him as a "monster" compared to what some other folks put up

Me too. You're not far from me TLew. Maybe he'll head my direction during the rut. Awesome deer.

Everyones definition of a "monster" is different but not many pass that deer. You wont have any problem with the 140 150 you threw out. I dont know how big a tad is but I say over 160 easy.

With the daytime pics you posted I'm leaning to him being 7.5 this season.
Any history with this deer from years past and pics of those years to compare?

Also, he will SMOKE past 150 with ease and if he is not at least high 150s low 160s I will be shocked....unless he weighs 130 lbs on the hoof which I seriously doubt.

I'd put him together like this...conservatively:

10" 1s
23" 2s
18" 3s (3s roll inward a good bit and are longer than they look)
9" 4s (probably longer as they lean forward and roll inward)
5" fork
65" up top

He has to be very close to 93" if he has 31" of mass which I believe he does
18" IS
44" beams
31" mass
93" on frame

158" on the low side I believe

This deer has a very large frame so I wouldn't be surprised if I shorted him damn near everywhere.

Put him on the ground and get the cable and measuring stick out!!!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

ILUV, I would say thats a very good summation. Like you said i think you are conservative, short, on almost all estimates. I still dont like to look real close till they finish.
