I will expect to see on before next Friday on cams here. I have every year since 2012. A lot of the ones are shedding their summer hair coats and that means the velvet will come off right after the new fall coat is in.

Not yet but give it 10 days. My trail cams every year tell me the last few days of August.

All my regulars are still in velvet in far Eastern Bexar county as of this morning.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

None here yet as of this morning. If we get some rain early next week there will be at least one that will shed his velvet here.

One of my old regulars showed up tonight. First time I have seen him this year and the first one I have seen to lose his velvet. They still look red and raw. All his buddies still have theirs. Sorry the photo is not better. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-64940-248271-wgi_1470.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-64940-248272-wgi_1472.jpg)
