.410 bore and Fiocchi 7 1/2's 3". When the birds wise up and it gets more frustrating, I'll switch to the big 20 ga.

LOL, I sure hope the morning you leave you find them. I'd worry about the kiddo going clay shooting and leaving me with memories.

Kids are all out of the house. Plenty of 20 & 12 gauge left.

I'm planning on using 12 ga Rem Heavy Dove 7.5's and also have some Rio high brass in 6's and 8's to use up.

This is my son's first time hunting and the recoil on his O/U was a bit stout the other day at the skeet range. I found him some Win AA light recoil/noise loads at Academy for him to use.

i like to shoot the cheapest ammo within reason. Meaning I look for the Winchester White box 7.5 1 1/8oz 1200fps @ $5 /box. This ammo patterns well and has knockout power.

I use my 20 early season, but bring my 12 if they are flying higher. I've been using the Academy Estate shells and they are surprisingly good. Got some estate highbrass 7 1/2 20's for $5.49 Besides that I like winchester better than remingtons...usally 7 1/2

I shoot a traditional English style SXS 20ga for dove and other small game. Also a great gun to take when I hunt the tanks where it's less likely to get wet/muddy. I'm shooting a mixed bag of shells this year, 7.5s and 6's, Rem, Rios, Winchester

Stickin' gills and Stackin' bills

In a world of compromise..... some dont....

I've got lot's of Remington Heavy Dove 7.5's so I might as well use them. I'll go with a 20 gauge to start the season off, then adjust as needed.

You guys seeing any sales/deals on dove loads? I miss the old days of the local Walmart and Kmart etc. competing newspaper ads for $3.50-4 per box of game loads.

Will be shooting both this year, but I'm going back to 20 gauge soon. I want an O/U 20.

My son headed out to Texas Tech a week ago. On his way out, he says "Hey Dad, can I take some ammo with me?". Have no idea what or how much he took... guess I better go see what shells he left me.
