The most surprising part of this is that is came out of the 9th Circuit. Based on a lot of their past rulings, I'm wondering if they really understood what they were ruling on.

The fight is not quite over. California AG has a few more legal maneuvers if he chooses. One of them has to be filed by the 28th of August or this ruling will stand.
Also of note, the 9th District encompasses more than the state of California so this ruling would stand in all of those states also.
